Privacy Policy for Pocket Arcade
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Introduction
Pocket Arcade is a free collection of small, offline mini-games (Snake, 2048, Tap Target, Sky Strike, Dungeon, Fishing, and others) behind a single hub menu. The same code also runs as a free web build at https://thebillymangames.web.app.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pocket Arcade does and does not collect, and how the app handles ads served by third-party providers.
App details
- App name: Pocket Arcade
- Android package:
com.billyman.pocketarcade - Developer: Thebillyman Games
- Contact email: [email protected]
- Web build: https://thebillymangames.web.app
- Policy URL: https://thebillymangames.com/privacy/pocket-arcade.html
Data We Collect
We do not collect personally identifiable information. Pocket Arcade does not require an account, does not request a login, and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only (in Android SharedPreferences on the Android build, and in browser localStorage on the web build). None of this data is transmitted to us or to any first-party server, because Pocket Arcade has no first-party server:
- Per-game best scores
- Total play counts per game
- Last-played timestamps per game
- Your preferred sort mode for the hub menu
- Your custom tile order on the hub menu
You can wipe all of this on demand using the "Reset all stats" button inside the app. Uninstalling the app (Android) or clearing browser data (web) also removes it permanently.
The app does not request or use the following system permissions or device features: camera, microphone, location services, contacts, calendar, file system access (beyond app-private storage), Bluetooth, or NFC. The only system permission used on Android is network access, which is required for serving ads.
The app does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions. The app does not send any analytics or telemetry events to a first-party server, because no first-party server exists.
Third-Party Services
Pocket Arcade integrates with the following third-party services. Their data practices are governed by their own published policies, not by us.
Google AdMob (Android build)
Pocket Arcade displays banner advertisements on Android through Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google and may collect:
- Your Android Advertising ID
- Your IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, viewability)
- Other information described in Google's privacy policy
You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Before personalized ads are served to users in regions that require consent (such as the EU/UK under GDPR), Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK requests consent on our behalf. You may revisit your ad-consent choice at any time through the app's settings or by clearing the app's data.
Google AdSense (web build)
The web build at https://thebillymangames.web.app displays banner advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense is operated by Google and may collect cookies, IP address, browser identifiers, and ad-interaction data per Google's published practices.
Firebase Hosting (web build)
The web build is served by Firebase Hosting (a Google service). Standard server access logs - including IP address, user-agent string, and request timestamps - are recorded by Google in line with their hosting policy. We do not access or analyze these logs ourselves.
Advertising and Your Choices
You can limit personalized advertising at the device level:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (or "Reset advertising ID")
- Web: Adjust your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, or use your browser's controls to clear cookies and limit tracking
If you reside in a region with applicable consent requirements (such as the EU, UK, EEA, or Switzerland), Google's UMP SDK on Android will collect your consent before personalized ads are shown. Non-personalized ads may still be shown if you decline consent.
Children's Privacy
Pocket Arcade is intended for a general audience, age 13 and over. The app is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because the app is not directed at children, AdMob is configured to treat the app as a general-audience app. Parents of younger users who download the app should be aware that ads served by Google may use standard ad-personalization signals as described above.
If you believe a child under 13 has used Pocket Arcade in a way that resulted in collection of personal data by a third-party service, contact us at the address below and we will work with the relevant provider to address it.
Your Rights and Choices
Because the app does not collect personal information and does not transmit your gameplay data to us, there is no first-party data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can fully control your in-app data using the "Reset all stats" button or by uninstalling the app / clearing browser data.
For data that may be processed by Google through its ad-serving and hosting services, refer to:
- Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com
- Firebase data deletion: Firebase Hosting only logs server-level metadata; Google's standard log retention applies.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)
For users in these regions:
- The lawful basis for storing your gameplay data locally on your device is legitimate interest (providing core app functionality).
- The lawful basis for serving personalized ads is consent, collected by Google's UMP SDK before personalized ads serve. Non-personalized ads may be shown if you do not consent.
- You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. For data held by Google, exercise these rights through Google's privacy controls. For local app data, use "Reset all stats."
California (CCPA / CPRA)
For California residents:
- We, the developer, do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA, because we do not collect or transmit personal information from the app.
- The third-party ad networks integrated into the app (Google AdMob, Google AdSense) may engage in activity that California treats as "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise your opt-out rights for those services through Google's ad settings linked above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app's features or in third-party services. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be reflected with a clear notice in the app or on the policy page. Continued use of Pocket Arcade after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
