Privacy Policy for Depth Diver
Effective date: May 26, 2026
App: Depth Diver (Android, package com.thebillyman.depthdiver)
Developer: Thebillyman Games
Contact: [email protected]
What We Collect Directly
Nothing. The app has no servers, no login, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting service. It stores your game progress locally on your device using Android's standard app storage (AsyncStorage). When you uninstall the app, that data is deleted by Android.
What Our Third-Party Services Collect
The app uses one third-party service: Google AdMob, to display a banner ad on the main menu and an optional rewarded ad after you lose a dive (only if you tap "Continue").
AdMob, operated by Google LLC, may automatically collect:
- Advertising ID (a resettable identifier provided by Android)
- IP address (used to infer approximate, city-level location)
- Device info (model, OS version, language, screen size)
- App usage signals related to ad impressions
Google uses this information to serve and measure ads. Their handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
For a Google-published summary of what AdMob collects and how to control it, see Google's AdMob data disclosure.
You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time:
- Android 12+: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID"
- Older Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized.
Children
Depth Diver is rated Everyone and is suitable for all ages. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. AdMob is configured to not request personalized ads from users under 13 where Google detects them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us at the address above and we will work to remove it (though, as above, the app itself collects nothing directly).
Data Sharing & Sale
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data - because we don't collect any.
- AdMob's data handling is Google's, governed by their policy linked above.
Permissions Used
android.permission.INTERNET- to fetch ads from Google's servers.android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE- to detect whether the device is online before requesting an ad.
The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or any other sensitive permissions.
Your Rights
Because the app collects no personal data directly, there's nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on our end. For data that AdMob may collect, refer to Google's policy and the opt-out instructions above.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the Play Store.
